Imagine for a moment, that the ocean is at high tide and is flooding the inland’s…but after several hours of this, the ocean returns to it’s natural position.

Although it has receded, it has left many pools and puddles of water all over the inland’s…that are now separated from their source.

These pool’s and puddles still have the likeness of the ocean, but they are now separated from it.

Now when you look at these pools and puddles, even though they are made from the same substance as the ocean, they no longer resemble it.

When they were still a part of the ocean they looked both powerful and peaceful, full of life, moving with the waves and currents with a purpose only they could fulfill.

But now they lie listless on the beach, where they become stagnate and begin to smell, attracting all sorts of parasites and bacteria to them.

If only they could be reconnected with their source, they could obtain that power and peace they were meant to have from the beginning.

And they could fulfill the purpose that was meant for them, and them only.

As you have probably already figured out, in this illustration the ocean represents God (our Source of Life), and we humans are the pools and puddles separated from our Source.

From the beginning we were meant to thrive in our Source, living forever, carrying out our destiny throughout all eternity…but what happened?

Here’s what happened…

Sin entered humanity through an act of disobedience by Adam and Eve…the first high tide…separating humanity from our Source of Eternal Life (God).

And there is nothing we can do to reconnect to our Source by our self…

Just like the puddles need a way to reconnect to the ocean, by being saved by the next high tide…

So does humanity need a way to reconnect with God, by being saved by the next high tide…Jesus Christ!

And, just like the ocean will willingly accept the puddles back into it, through the next high tide…so will God willing accept us back to Him, through Jesus Christ!

By accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior we can have Eternal Life, and live out our perfect destiny for all Eternity!

Scripture Referenced:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV
